It’s the end of yet another year and I’m thinking :
- How I’m endlessly grateful for all the humans, new habits, and learning that have helped me build myself into what I am today.

For the longest time, I believed that my troughs defined me. But, thanks to the year that it was, I have come to a realization that life is just a series of moments and all things in between.

Amongst these beautiful moments, that I have been a part of, the most cherished and close to my heart would be moments of relentless convincing and educating others on the importance of Mental Health. Our three-member team has always been very passionate about spreading awareness on this topic. “Talk It Out” is our small, yet impactful initiative which helps us make this passion of ours reach people through curated content on social media. As founding members of this organization, Riya and I have worked on countless sessions and campaigns to help people understand that mental illness is not a taboo and that it should be treated in the same manner as any other health issue.

Our vision is about creating a profound impact on the people who engage with our initiative. Every post that is put up on our page is approved by our in-house psychologist and made after exhaustive research and careful deliberation. While we were enthusiastic about spreading awareness on mental health before, the knowledge we gained made us passionate about the cause. This journey has led us to be more empathetic towards people who suffer from mental health illnesses and encouraged us to help them in any way we can.

This year, we aim to build a dedicated platform for Talk It Out, wherein people can talk about their mental health issues freely, without the fear of judgment. We understand the impact that technology has on its user’s mental health, and thus, we want to build a space that is considerate of the influence that the platform creates on the audience. As we leave 2021, our hearts are filled with gratitude for all the support that has been extended towards our initiative.

We will continue to pursue our mission to strengthen the voice for Mental Health activism. Have a restful, joyful, and healthy year. Here’s to fresh hope and renewed spirits. And, oh! Don’t forget to smile today. :)
